CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The excitement is building as Flour Bluff and Miller get set to tangle in our Friday Night Fever marquee matchup this Friday night.

Last night, we looked in on the Bucs. Tonight, we check in with the Hornets.

This matchup is about as good as it gets -- both teams are undefeated in district play at 4-0.

A lot of star power will be on display, starting with Bluff running back Isaac Miles, who has already rushed for 1,117 yards.

Flour Bluff head football coach Chris Steinbruck said this is probably the most athletic CCISD team he's seen in his 18 years with the Hornets.

"It's an enormous test for us because they pose so many problems," he said. "They are so good and talented at every position."

Miles is excited by the prospect to facing an undefeated team like the Hornets.

"I am really fired up playing an undefeated team, supposedly, for the district championship, but every game is a district game and they have a great defense," he said. "Their linebackers and safeties are really good. They got Cassius back there at corner(back), and it's going to be a great game. Our 'O' line will have to be physical for us to get our running game going and open up the rest of our offense."

Defensive back Rayden Campbell says the Hrnets are ready for their competition.

"Yeah, they are fast, quick and their wide outs are pretty big," he said. "We just have to be ready. But we are good. The key to our success: We just have to stay the same and play it like any other game and stay focused."

It certainly has the makings of a great game Friday night at Buc Stadium.
